What I’m Loving in July

Wow, July is whizzing along and I feel that I’ve mainly been dodging the rain this month! To prove to myself that it’s not all just been rain clouds, here’s what I’m loving this month.

The Roses are still blooming in my garden and I’m really delighted that my Dahlias have now joined the Summer party! I’ve experimented with growing Dahlias this year and I opted for some bargain ones just around the corner at B&Q but now I’ve got the hang of growing them, I’m excited to grow some extra lovely ones next year.

This month I’m enjoying learning more about frequency medicine and I’m reading The Resonance Effect by Carolyn McMakin.

I am working hard to create a special space for meditation, yoga and journalling in our garden room. The beautiful Sacred Space Spray is helping to provide a beautiful energy. This is part of my continuing work to clear our home of clutter and too much stuff. I feel like I’ve now cleared enough to really see the benefit and to give me the energy to work really hard on it for the rest of the year.

At the beginning of the month I had a beautiful day in London with my Mum and we went to two wonderful exhibitions at Tate Britain and Tate Modern. My favourite was Hilma Af Klint and Piet Mondrian. I hadn’t seen Af Klint’s work before but I was blown away and cannot wait to visit again this Summer. I felt so deeply connected to her work that I could have created it. Not in a flippant “I could make that” way but in a “how does her art know what’s inside me” kind of way. Hard to put into words but when this reaction happens, you know!

This month I also managed a beautiful 24 hours away with Stef. We stayed local to make the most of our time together and booked a room at the Bath Arms. We love eating here, so it was a treat to get to stay the night too. The next day we relaxed at Babington House in the sunshine (after the rain at stopped!!) and enjoyed a lovely, long Sunday lunch. I always treasure our time together, just the two of us.

I loved watching Wimbledon and am now really looking forward to spending the final week of July sinking into the school Summer holidays! x
