Take A Mindfulness Walk

If you are able to go out and about at the moment, then I highly recommend taking a mindfulness walk. It helps you to slow down and connect with the world around you.

As you walk take time to notice what you can see, hear, smell, feel and touch. I love to do mindfulness walks to connect me to the ever changing seasons. It’s so easy to take everything for granted but it is pure joy to be able to slow down and notice all the little details. I bet you will see things that you have never notice before even though you are walking not far from your home.

During this time when the world has slowed down it is the perfect time to take a mindfulness walk. It will help you to come out of your busy head and into your body by connecting you to your senses.

If you struggle to do this at first then try setting yourself a challenge to start you off. Can you spot 5 green things, then 5 blue things and so on. Can you hear 3 different sounds? I find that this technique can really help you to concentrate on the moment that you are in rather than thinking about all the things rushing through your mind.
